Mid-Year Teachers’ Training Seminar for Academic Year 2014
On the 3rd and 4th of October 2014, the English Program hosted a midyear Teachers’ Training seminar with the topic of “Effective Teaching and Assessment”. The first day of the seminar was held at the 1st floor EP Conference Room on the 1st floor of the Colombet Building, and the second day of the seminar was held in the Martin de Tours Library, on the 3rd floor of the Saint Louis-Marie Memorial Building. The seminar was held in English and there were 57 foreign teachers in attendance for this seminar, including the members of EP, ENS, and the Bell Program, as well as a large number of teaching assistants who normally work in the Thai Program.
The purpose of this seminar was to develop the teaching skills of our foreign teachers, following the plan from the Saint Gabriel’s Foundation and The Office of National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA). For this event, we had 2 outstanding speakers from Srinakarinwirot University to (one for each day) to lead us:
1. Associate Professor Chalewsri Pibolchon
2. Dr. Aurapan Weerawong Plantenga
We are indeed grateful for the excellent job that these 2 speakers did for us, and we are appreciative to the many Thai support staff from the English Program who arranged all of the details for this very important event.
