On the 31st of January – 2nd of February 2015, the English Program of Assumption College EP-M1 students attended the ‘4th Thailand World Schools Debate Championship’ competition at Panyarat School, Bangruk Bangkok

 

    The theme of the competition was ‘21st Century Digital Citizenship’ following the ‘World Schools Format’ for this kind of debate competition.  It provided an excellent opportunity for students to improve their critical thinking and language skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing.  

 

    There was also an opportunity to research and present data concerning problems facing our world in the 21st century.

The result of this competition, for EP-M1, was that the following students qualified at the Quarter Final stage.

Considering this was their first experience of structured debate, this was an excellent achievement.
